Gantry

Gantry is the most affectionate dog i have ever met, he lives for cuddles and is happiest by your side. He is calm and placid inside the house, happy to laze around quietly, he also has his playful side and is great with cats and kids. He gets along well with female dogs and is happy on or off the leash. He has not had the best start in life, so he can be a little scared and timid at times, however he has made huge improvements in this area and is now enjoying life to the fullest. He loves to go for walks and he walks nicely by your side and does not pull on the lead. When off lead he does not go too far from you and always comes back when he is called. He also travels very well in the car. He loves running and would run all day if he could. He comes back when you call him. He loves to play fetch and retrieve a ball. Gantry is fully toilet trained and he is now learning to sit. He is great with children, and has no problems allowing them to cuddle him. Gantry is still afraid of strangers, and although improving in this area, will need someone who will teach him that people can be kind and not everyone wants to hurt him. Gantry really is a gorgeous dog that will give you an abundance of joy and happiness once he knows he can trust you. He does cry a fair bit but it is his way of communicating with you. If he wants something but is unsure he will cry. If he is scared or unsure of something he will cry. When you come home from work and he is very excited to see you he will cry. It really is as if he is talking to you. It is rather amusing; he will not walk into our bathroom, as he is unsure of the floor surface which is tiles. So instead he will stand at the threshold and cry as he really wants to come in and see you. The really funny part about this is that he walks on the tiles in the laundry numerous times a day without a problem. Gantry is used to being able to come inside when he pleases and will need to be able to sleep inside. He is currently being fostered with another dog and we would like him to live with another dog.
