Meet Benny the brave!

Little Ben is the more relaxed of the two whippet blend brothers that we rescued from a Victorian rural pound. This little man and his brother Wesley have had a tough start, starved and left at the pound. These energetic little boys aren’t letting this hold them back though, they love playing with their toys, and each other! Both brothers are happy to play with other dogs, but as they are still puppies they are still learning the rules of doggie play and need to be supervised.

He is such a gorgeous little puppy. He has the most beautiful temperament and everyone who meets him falls in love immediately.

Benny is a beautiful and friendly pup that loves to play. He has only started coming out of his shell but he loves getting attention, at times he could be a little bit cheeky.

Benny gets along great with other dogs of all sizes. He also gets on great with the small and medium sized dogs at the park, he just loves everybody and everything! Benny even gets along with the cats but gets so excited he tends to jump all over them. Like any puppy, Benny will need ongoing obedience training, but don't worry, he is a quick learner!

Benny is learning all about crate training and is happy to sleep in there at night time, and to take naps in there with the door open. He is a clever little boy and picks up new things quickly. Ongoing obedience training will be essential in his new home to ensure he becomes a well adjusted adult dog.

Benny gets very excited when there's people around. He is starting to learn to walk with a lead but I'm sure with a couple more attempts he will be more accustomed to it, when he came into our care he had no idea what a lead even was!

As this little man is still a puppy he will need a home committed to taking him to puppy school, dog parks for socialisation and continuing his training a home. This is crucial to helping him grow into a trusting and loyal member of your family.

In addition to training, Ben will need daily exercise and enrichment available. This can include puppy safe toys and feeding mechanisms that make him work for his food when you are not home. If you have any questions about tools and toys we will gladly share our experience.

As Benny was rescued from the pound we can only guess the breeds he is mixed with, therefore we can not guarantee what size adult he will become. His new owner will need to be prepared to have a medium or medium - large size adult dog.

He is still very wary of sudden noises example car's that drive by but with some training and lots of TLC he will grow into a confident young man!
