About Wesley
Meet the handsome Wesley!
Little Wesley is the more energetic of the two whippet blend brothers that we rescued from a rural Victorian pound.
This little man and his brother Ben have had a tough start, starved of food and dumped in the pound. These energetic little boys aren’t letting this hold them back though, they love playing with their toys, and each other! Both brothers are happy to play with other dogs, but as they are still puppies they are still learning the rules of doggie play and need to be supervised.
He has the most beautiful temperament and everyone who meets him falls in love immediately. Wesley gets along great with other dogs of all sizes. He is in foster care with a large dog and he loves to play with him. He also gets on great with the small and medium sized dogs at the park, he just loves everybody and everything! Wesley even gets along with the cats but gets so excited he tends to jump all over them. Like any puppy, Wesley will need ongoing obedience training, but don't worry, he is a quick learner!
He already knows how to sit and learnt that pretty quickly. He needs some reminders not to jump up on people when he gets excited (which is all of the time) but a bit of training will put him back into place :)
Wesley is learning all about crate training and is happy to sleep in there at night time, and to take naps in there with the door open. Wesley is also learning about walking on the lead as when he came into our care he had no idea what a lead was! He still zigzags a little when going on a walk but he is getting much better!
As this little man is still a puppy he will need a home committed to taking him to puppy school, dog parks for socialisation and continuing his training a home. This is crucial to helping him grow into a trusting and loyal member of your family.
In addition to training, Wes will need daily exercise and enrichment available. This can include puppy safe toys and feeding mechanisms that make him work for his food when you are not home. If you have any questions about tools and toys we will gladly share our experience.
All of our puppies come desexed, microchiped, flea/worm treated and vaccinated. However, you will need to continue with the further 2 puppy vaccinations monthly for the next 2 months. He will also need to remain within your property until his vaccinations have taken effect. This will protect him from any unwanted nasty diseases hiding outside.
Wesley would really suit pretty well any household that will give him lots of love, exercise and training. He is very gentle and loving. If you are looking for a people dog, this is your boy.
If you have any questions about Wesley, please feel free to get in contact so we can answer them. He is an amazing dog who deserves a wonderful home with people who will love him… and I can guarantee he will love you without a doubt!
Do you think you could give Wesley the home he deserves?
If so, please get in contact so you can come meet this stunning boy… you won't regret it!
(Wesley is currently in foster care in the Brunswick area)
