About Tess - checking out my new home
Tess is a stunning looking girl. She has a soft fawn coat with a white stripe on her face, white socks and a tail that looks as if the bottom half of it fell into a tin of white paint. She has even put on eyeliner for the camera! Doesn't it make her look lovely?
Although her name is Miss Drama Queen, we've seen no dramas so far. The Queen part of her name is an obvious reference to the noble character of all Greyhounds (and her mother was a Queen too).
Tess is a little older than most of our Greyhounds - she has been relaxing at home after her race starts.
She's a happy lass who is finding this latest venture quite exciting.
Tess comes desexed, microchipped, heartworm tested and wormed. She will come with a collar, a lead and a muzzle as well as one month's heartworm-preventative medication.
Greyhounds are calm, gentle friendly dogs. They do not need long walks and are happy with a twenty minute walk once or twice a day.
They can sleep for up to 20 hours per day.
Greyhounds need to remain on lead at all times in public areas, and should only be allowed off-lead in fenced areas. They need to be muzzled in public until they have passed their Greenhounds assessment which gives them an exemption from muzzling.
They are very susceptible to weather, and will need shelter from the elements. During winter they will need a warm coat. They have little padding on their bones and will need a comfy bed all year around.
