About "Prince of York" - Purrfect Match
Prince of York is a remarkable and special boy who will only be allowed to go to the best possible situation. Prince was literally snatched off the kill list at the last hour and whisked into rescue care when it was noticed, that despite his SCARED/ CANNOT handle label, there was something special and mesmerising about his gaze into the camera lense of his pound pic....he was begging to be noticed.
Prince was additionally labelled FERAL at the vet he was sent to directly from the pound for sedation, chip and desex. Fast forward 5 months and nothing could be further from the truth. The progress and change in this boy has been nothing short of a miracle with intensive family foster care based rehabilitation . This amazing boy is now mainstream in the home, EXCELLENT with both other felines and cat friendly dogs.
He is NOT yet a pick up and sit in the lap cat, but chats, responds to commands, and is always at people's feet wanting a stroke or pat. A seriously intelligent boy who will only get better with time. Loves his toy mice as well !
Prince is a PURRFECT indoor companion, showing no inclination to get outdoors, nor lingering around doorways . He is very low maintenance and low energy for such a young man too, being a large fluffy cat . Seasonal coat which will require a weekly brush...he is becoming accustomed to it gradually.
Prince is not a young children's cat as he is still learning his manners, but is highly responsive to verbal instruction. He enjoys family life, and being in the home, getting more and more interactive as each day goes by. For a patient loving home, this boy is a Prince among cats :) For any adopters comsidering a pair, Prince is best buddies with Sir William and sweet, prancing Turkish Van x boy also in care :)
Adoption details
Trial periods are given to ensure the cat/kitten is the Purrfect Match for your situation and refund is available within the agreed trial period that is geared to suit the individual cat.
If a cat is being adopted sight unseen, as in distance adoptions, we do require a home check to ensure our cats safety.
After indicating your interest in a cat or kitten you wish to adopt we put you in contact with his or her foster carer. You can then organize a meet and greet.
If you decide to go ahead with the adoption you are required to complete the adoption form and transfer of microchip paperwork. The foster carer will have these documents for you to complete or they can be sent to you via email. Payment can be made via direct deposit or cash to the carer.
We have transport opportunities available from time to time.
Cats are sold desexed, first vaccination and micro-chipped. They will be up to date on their worming and flea treatment.
PLEASE NOTE: Unless other wise stated as in the case of BARN/FARM cats.. ALL our cats are for INDOOR HOMES ONLY or specially built cat enclosures.. We rescued them off the street and would think nothing worse that they be placed back there and in danger of all the perils of modern day society.
Please respect our wishes with these requirements. We care about our cats and matching the cat to the adopter is important as is the home they are going to.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
