About Gemma
Gemma is a leader and an outgoing friendly girl who loves to chase a ball or any other toy she chooses and bring it back for you to throw again. She'll continue to do this as long as you are happy to keep doing it, but when told 'no more' she understands the game is over. Gemma is not a fan of storms and would prefer to be inside with her human family until the storm passes as she does fret and needs to feel safe.
Gemma along with her brother Rusty have recently lost their mum to cancer. They have grown up together from pups and will need to be rehomed together.
Both Gemma and Rusty are great with cats and would happily co-exist in a home with them. They walk well on leash and love to go for walks or outings with the family. They are both beautiful natured dogs who understand 'No' and 'on your bed' commands and will stop barking with a simple clap of the hands. They have come from an extremely loving home and we would love to fulfill their mums wishes to find them another loving home where they can become part of a family again.
Wally's like all of our rescues to be adopted into families that will continue their socialisation and allow their dogs inside of the home on a regular basis to ensure that they feel part of the family.
Gemma is located in Newcastle, NSW where she lives with her foster family.

When enquiring about Gemma, please give us some indication of the type of home that he/she would have with you. We are interested in things such as other animals (past and present), children who may have contact with the dog, whether you own or rent your home, what opportunities for socialisation outside the home your dog would have, how much you/someone is home and most importantly, why you feel this dog/pup may be suitable for you.
Wally's Dog Rescue put a lot of time and effort into ensuring our dogs/pups are sociable and made to feel part of the family, so in considering adoptions, these are the type of things we will be looking for in a new family.
