About Jack *On Trial in His New Home*
*JACK IS CURRENTLY TRIALING HIS NEW HOME* Meet Jack!! This handsome dog will make you fall in love all over again if you can just see past his greying muzzle and into his wonderful heart!
Jack belonged to his current owners ex who did not want him so as the children adored him she took custody of Jack as well and he has been a happy part of their lives for many years. But now his she has to move to Queensland to care for an elderly family member and sadly her children have grown up and are unable to take Jack due to uni commitments/issues with living arrangements, so she’s contacted us SARG folk and we’ve promised to find him a special home where he can relax and enjoy the rest of his doggie years.
At 9½ years young Jack still has plenty of life in him yet, according to our vet he is in excellent health. Jack is loveable, happy and totally thrives on human contact and enjoys being spoilt. He loves a romp and a play and is great around children. He does get excited still but soon settles down. Although Jack has lived with a now 15 year old female German Shepherd for the past few years he hasn’t been socialised with many other dogs, so it might be best if he’s an only child in his forever home, though if you do have a friendly dog needing company we can always organise a meet & greet to see how they get along.

Generously affectionate, this gorgeous fella still manages to bring joy to everyone who meets him. All the qualities that people so often look for in the ‘perfect’ dog can be found in Jack - he knows “sit” and will wait to eat and he doesn’t normally jump up on people or furniture unless he’s asked to. He enjoys trips to the river in the back of a ute where he can go for long runs – he loves to run! He can still be a strong boy when he first sets out on a beloved walk so a harness works best for Jack. He is not a “yapper”, in fact he rarely barks. Jack is fine around dog friendly cats having grown up with one. The only thing Jack doesn’t like are thunderstorms and fireworks which make him quite anxious and he will usually dive for cover under a table or cuddle up to his human.
As Jack has always enjoyed an indoor / outdoor lifestyle we’d want to see this continued in his forever home. He eats dry food but his fave thing is table scraps and he won’t touch his own food until after his humans have finished eating in the hopes that some leftovers will be added to his bowl!

Adoption details
Please Note: SARG and our animals for adoption are located in Mildura in North-West Victoria.
Our adoption process commences with completing an Application form which you'll find at: www.sarg.net.au
The Application is then reviewed, references checked and a yard check done, then, if there are no issues, a meet and greet is organised. If all goes well the last stage is a 28 day home-trial to make sure that everyone is happy.
If the trial is successful our “stray” is then officially considered adopted and the microchip transferred into the new owners name.
If anything goes wrong SARG will always take back one of our animals :)
