About Riley (On Trial 3/1/15)~ Labrador x kelpie puppy
Meet Riley, he is a 10-12 week old Labrador x Kelpie puppy. He is absolutely adorable with his beautiful, gentle and loving nature. He loves nothing more than to spend time playing and snuggling up to you for a cuddle and a pat. He gets along well with our other foster puppy, and loves to play and spend time with our children aged 4 and 7 years.
Riley especially enjoys a good game of tug o war with a rope. He loves to run and fetch the ball and chase the children around. Please note, as Riley is still a puppy, he does get excited when playing, so small children will need to be supervised at all times.
Riley will grow to be a medium sized dog, so you will need some good strong fencing with no large gaps underneath, he cannot go to rural fencing (e.g.: mesh or wire).
Because of his beautiful gentle nature, Riley would suit any family situation or even someone on their own. We would like for Riley to go to someone who has time for him and welcomes him inside their home as part of the family. He loves to spend time outside, but loves it just as much or more to be inside and close to you, as he does with us at present. We recommend puppy training classes to ensure Riley gets the best start to being a wonderful part of your family.
Riley is available now for adoption to the following areas: Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens area. He is not available for interstate adoption.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
