About Bundy (On Trial 3/1/15) German Shepherd x kelpie
6 month old German Shepherd x Kelpie. Beautiful Bundy bounced into foster care and hasn’t looked back! He is a lovely young dog that will grow into a stunning boy with striking features, already melting the hearts of everyone he meets. His eyes tell a story of a dog waiting for love and he makes everyone laugh when he smiles in photos and closes them.
Although he hasn’t been a neglected rescue dog, he certainly wasn’t getting the attention he deserved so he is lapping up every second of the love his foster family have to give and is excited to find a home where he is very spoilt. He is quite a quirky guy, he likes to help on walks by holding his lead in his mouth and he is so proud of his “shake” trick that he is constantly handing out them out as high fives. He walks well on a lead once his excitement settles, can “sit” on command most times and waits for his dinner before being told “ok” to start eating. Given his age and lack of training he is very smart and with ongoing support will grow into one very clever boy. He absolutely loves a walk, is great at meeting new people and dogs and lives with two young children (age 6). He is however very bouncy and playful so could easily knock young children over.
Given his long legs that he is still growing into, high fencing is a must with a large yard to run around in. He would love a play mate, perhaps you already have a friendly dog who would love a fur brother? There is also rumour that he lived well with a cat.
Bundy is rarely a barker, not a digger or escape artist and toilets in areas away from his bed and the house. He currently sleeps outside in a warm kennel with shelter and is practicing spending time inside the house, his favourite spot it up on the lounge! He enjoys fetch and is learning the game continues when he gives it back and he loves his toys – however given his age they don’t last long.
His ideal home would take him for long walks or jogs, be home as often as possible and include him in their life. He is a low maintenance guy, easily pleased and everything you give to him he will give back tenfold with sloppy kisses!

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
