About Socks (On Trial 23/1/15) with the waggly tail
Meet Socks! Socks is a very happy, affectionate and enthusiastic 6 month old Bull Arab x pup and the friendliest fellow you'll ever meet. Socks was in the pound for almost a month. It's a mystery why somebody wouldn't miss him enough to claim him back or that he wasn't adopted in all that time.
Socks just loves humans of all ages and wants to gree everyone he meets. He loves other dogs and likes nothing better than a wrestle and a run, but, being young, can get over enthusiastic and jump. Socks will benefit from further training. Socks has a tail that doesn't stop wagging - he is just one happy, loving pup.
Make no mistake; this boy is set to become the most faithful, loving companion that some lucky person will know. A word of warning though – when you meet Socks, you are guaranteed to fall in love. Socks still has some growing to do and will end up a fairly large dog. He is learning some basic commands and is well behaved at food times. Even though he hasn’t been observed around cats, it’s likely that he’ll love them, too.
Socks would be a great addition to a home with one other dog and he will make a perfect pet for a loving and active family.
He is currently in care with Dog Rescue Mudgee - a branch of Dog Rescue Newcastle and looking for one fantastic, forever home. He promises cuddle after cuddle as a reward.
For more information, or to meet Socks, please contact Nora on or 0418 402 150 or email: drnmudgeebranch@yahoo.com. Socks is in foster care in Parkes, NSW.
Socks’ adoption fee is $400. He is desexed, vaccinated, free of fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. He is not available adoption outside of NSW and ACT.
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
