About Lolly (On Trial 12/1/15) ~ border collie x cattle
Hi there, my name is Dash but my foster family call me Lolly and I love it! I’m a female, 9 -10 month old, border collie x cattle dog and I really do think this is the most perfect combination. My coat is not too long but I still have the stunning looks of the border collie.
Let me tell you some wonderful facts about me. I am as sweet as my name implies. I love to snuggle in bed, on the lounge, outside and just about anywhere you want - I will be there. I can sit and shake hands and am really trying hard to learn some more really cool tricks like stay and come. It won't take me long because I've super smart.
This interesting fact is my best I think. In the weeks that I have been here I have never chased the chickens or ducks. Mum is real proud of this as their own dog is still learning this and he lives here. However, I do really really like to chase cats and send them up the trees on the roof or anywhere those furry things can go. It's just so much fun, but unfortunately the cats don’t think so. I’m learning the goats don’t like to be chased and am doing really well to resist.
I have never had an accident in side and really like to be part of the family. I like it outside but really love laying on the lounge snuggling, so I will need my forever family to welcome me inside. I will need to have another dog for a playmate as I'm just too lonely without a friend.
Kids are awesome! I'm living with 4 human kids aged from 6 to 14 and oh they love me but mum said that if I stay we can’t help other girls and guys like me.
My Christmas wish is to have forever home where there is another playful dog, one without a cat or one that’s not around me too much. I think kids would be wonderful. I will need to be part of your life indoors and out. Sitting in a back yard all the time is not a good life for any dog.
So if you are looking for a snuggly, fun loving girl to take on trips to the beach or bush and to cuddle up with on the lounge at the end of a hard day then I'm your girl!

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
