Pokey - Adoption Pending

You couldn't find a more sweeter and gentle soul than Miss Pokey.
Don't let her age fool you! No one would ever guess her age as she is so full of spirit and life. She is not a big dog, at just knee height and under 20kgs, shes a compact companion!

Pokey has spent the last year Puppy free and finally is enjoying her life and smiles all the time at her new life.

She is a wonderful Indoor companion and would love to spend her retirement years in the comfort of your home where she is around her people. Pokey LOVES people. Every person who meets her falls in love with her beautiful nature and personality. She certainly knows how to win hearts.

One introduced slowly to cats she is absolutely fine with them. her current foster home has 2 rescue cats , and has fostered several more and never had an issue.

She is Very Gentle around young children, and never tries to jump up or make sudden movements around them or tries to lick their face, she will give a gentle lick on their hand and stay still as to not alarm them or knock them over. Her forever home though she would prefer older kids so she can relax.

Pokey is a dog that doesn't dig, bark, chew jump fences, etc. she stays put like a good girl. She mainly has been an inside dog whilst in care and happy to hang out inside all day if you go out. She lets her carers know when she needs to go out. She is happy to spend time outside too during the day to lounge in the sun and play with her toys and potter around the garden with you.

She just loves to play ball and could play for hours, but she only requires small sessions and a gentle stroll around the block . She LOVES going for car rides and great on long trips. She really is a low maintenance dog.

Pokey will need to be an only dog, as she gets anxious around other dogs she sees, however neighbouring dogs through the fence she tends to ignore.

Pokey would suit many homes, a couple, family ( older kids preferred 6+), retired, singles,just so long as she gets some lovin she's the happiest dog in the world.
She is so sweet and full of love, you couldn't find a better dog.
