About Cheeko (On Trial 6/1/15)~ Shepherd x Staffy
Allow me to introduce Cheeko! Cheeko is a gorgeous low maintenance 11 onth old, Shepherd x Staffy girl who is very easy to please. Cheeko is well mannered and very well behaved with a dash of cheeky puppiness just like her name! Cheeko is a medium sized friendly girl who is about kelpie size.
Cheeko is very friendly with people and dogs of all ages – she wants to say hello and meet everyone. She loves her daily walks and walks beautifully on the lead. She doesn't pull and is happy to walk at your pace. If she is on a longer lead she loves to zig zag and smell the roses (and everything else!) along the way.
Cheeko is great with food, is very treat focused and will take food extremely gently from your hand. She has wonderful meal time manners and will politely wait until told she can eat. Being only a puppy, she can be a little jumping when very excited meeting people, however she quickly responds to "no" or "a-ah” and will sit for a treat.
Cheeko is well toilet trained. She loves to sleeps on the floor beside her carers' bed and will wake her with licks if she needs to go out for a toilet break during the night
Cheeko has a very sweet temperament and she loves cuddles and belly rubs. She will happily accept pats all day long from her humans if they are on offer. She is amiable and happy even when she has to do things she doesn’t want to do like having a bath! She prefers to be carried into the bath and will stand still like a really good girl whilst being thoroughly washed and pampered. Every dog knows that towel time after the bath is the best bit anyway right?
Cheeko would suit a family, single or couple where someone is home a lot, or a family where she has another dog to play with whilst you are at work. She is not a barker and will play quietly and she’s not destructive whilst you are out. Cheeko would love to be involved in exciting outdoor adventures like parks, picnics or the beach. Cheeko is very social so would not suit being left at home for long periods on her own in the yard. Dogs and puppies like to be part of the family.
Cheeko needs to be allowed inside with her family when they are home, with playtime in the yard during the day. Cheeko’s furever family is one who will allow her to sleep inside in a nice cosy spot.
For more information or to meet Cheeko, please contact Bec on 0416 095 409 or email becsnewemail@yahoo.com.au. Cheeko is in foster care in Cardiff, NSW (Lake Macquarie).

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
