About Capri ~ Rehomed 23/12/14
Capri is a very gentle and sweet 4 month old American Staffy x Kelpie puppy. \ Capri is very shy when first meeting people but once she realises that people are friendly her tail will wag and she will ask for belly rubs and cuddles. \ Capri has a very easy going personality, she is quiet and playful and she loves her humans. She can be a little timid when being picked up but once in your arms she loves to cuddle and she’ll put her head on your shoulder and will quite happily be carried around.
Capri is in foster care with two other dogs, big and small, and she adores both of them. She loves to climb on top of her big foster brother Ludo's back when he's sleeping and use him as a comfy lounge chair. She loves to play chasings around the house with her little foster sister Mia and they get up to playful mischief together. Capri will get scared when first meeting other dogs, but again once she realises they won't hurt her she will go into play mode and will ask them to play with her with little paw taps and play bows.
Capri is great with cats as she lives with 5 of them. She follows the cats around the house and rolls on her back and paws them to ask them to play. She thinks the cats are puppy friends and is very gentle with them.
Capri loves her food and is very treat focused. She will sit for a treat already so she will be easy to train. Being only a baby, she is just learning to walk on a lead - she finds walks very exciting and shows great interest in everything whilst outside. She will get a little frightened when other dogs bark as she passes, but being a young puppy, she will gain confidence as she grows. Capri is not a high energy girl, although she is part kelpie, she is very quiet and likes her sleep and quiet time
Capri will be best suited to an active family or couple or single who will involve her in exciting outdoor adventures like parks, picnics or the beach. As she grows up, she would love a daily walk as part of her routine. Capri would be best with another older friendly playful dog who can help her with doggy socialisation and who is a positive role model for her to follow. She would get easily bowled over with dogs that are too boisterous or rough, so a gentle dog is a good match for her as she is at the age where doggy socialisation is vitally important in her development. Due to her shy and gentle nature, she is better suited to older understanding children or teenagers to help bring her out of her shell – sudden movements and pats from very young children might frighten her.
Capri is an inside and outside dog, she must be allowed inside with her family when they are home, with playtime in the yard during the day. She is very people focused and therefore loves to be with her humans for family time when they are home. Capri’s furever family is one who will allow her to sleep inside even when she gets older.
