About Mia (On Trial 20/12/14) ~ Maltese x
Mia is a beautiful 5 year old Maltese x. She is a little lady who loves to cuddle up with you and is very affectionate. She is good with other dogs as long as they are not too playful.
Mia is house trained and walks well on a lead and travels well in the car. She loves to go on family outings because she just loves to be with you and will be your constant, loving companion. She is good with children and has shown no interest in aviary birds, however she is not so good with chickens.
Mia is terrified of storms and is on medication for her anxiety but with the right family who are home most of the time she will be able to be weaned off the medication. She needs to be an inside dog and inside when no one is home and sleep inside. She needs a very secure yard as when she is frightened she can climb.
Mia has a beautiful soft coat which needs regular brushing (every few days depending on length), bathing (every few weeks) and clipping (every 4 to 8 weeks) to keep her comfortable and beautiful.
Mia needs someone who doesn't work outside the home. She would ideally suit a retired person or someone who works from home. She is a darling little girl who will be a treasured addition to the right family.
For more information or to meet Mia, please contact her foster carer Debbie on 0408825714 or email debbie_morphett@hotmail.com. Mia is in foster care in Beresfield NSW, near Maitland.
Mia's adoption fee is only $400 and includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
