About Badger
We had lots to celebrate when Badger came into care - he is our 70th rescue dog since we started in August. And what better dog to be our celebration dog, Badger is as sweet as sweet can be!
Badger is darling old boy, although he is 10 he has many more years ahead of him. He is affectionate, quiet and cuddly. He gets along great with other dogs and cats. He is good with children, and just loves people. Badger is basically the perfect dog!
Badger is about 7kg - he is closer in size to the Dachshund although he looks more like the chihuahua. He's a beautiful mix!

Medical notes
All Chihuahua Rescue Queensland dogs have been fully health checked by our vets. We offer a free post-adoption health check with Greencross Vets at Moorooka or Indooroopilly hospitals. This gives you the opportunity to talk directly to the vet about any questions you may have. We provide all veterinary records for each dog, including copies of blood tests, any relevant xrays and medical notes.
All Chihuahua Rescue Queensland dogs are desexed, vaccinated and microchipped. We test all our dogs for heart worm and treat them with regular parasite prevention.
Badger has a skin condition which we are treating. He has improved a great deal. When he came to us, his back was raw and bleeding and he was missing alot of fur. With a good diet, good skin care and a good foster carer to shower him with love, Badger will improved a great deal and his fur will all grow up.
He has had a dental with extractions, and xrays on his patellas. The vet has advised us that he does not require patella surgery.
