About Cecelia
Cecilia was surrendered to us after being diagnosed with parvo. She had never been to the vet, had never been vaccinated or microchipped and her family were not willing to spend the money treating the parvo virus. We were more then willing to take her and get her the care she required.
Ceecee is a little fighter, she survived parvo and recovered quicker then we expected. Dogs who have had the parvo virus actually shed the virus for 6 weeks after recovery, so we placed Ceecee in a very special foster home where she could be quarantined. Forgive us for the puppy pen pictures, we know they aren't the best but we take quarantine very seriously. We would never send a puppy out for adoption knowing that it was spreading the killer parvo virus.
Little Cecelia will be ready for a forever home in January. We would love her to go to a home with another small dog for her to play with. She has missed out on some of her key socialization period due to quarantine, so sometimes finds the big world a bit scary, but she has a sweet and inquisitive nature so we know she is going to do very well.

Medical notes
All Chihuahua Rescue Queensland dogs have been fully health checked by our vets. We offer a free post-adoption health check with Greencross Vets at Moorooka or Indooroopilly hospitals. This gives you the opportunity to talk directly to the vet about any questions you may have. We provide all veterinary records for each dog, including copies of blood tests, any relevant xrays and medical notes.
All Chihuahua Rescue Queensland dogs are desexed, vaccinated and microchipped. We test all our dogs for heart worm and treat them with regular parasite prevention.
Cecelia has recovered very well from the Parvo virus and we do not expect it to cause any problems in her future. She is a happy and healthy puppy now!
