About Roxy *On Trial in Her New Home*
*ROXY IS CURRENTLY TRIALING HER NEW HOME - NO MORE ENQUIRIES/APPLICATIONS PLEASE* \ Doe-eyed, gentle and cute as a bug’s ear is how we describe little Miss Roxy! \ She’s a 5kg Jack Russell cross and there’s so much to love about this little sweetheart.
Adorable Roxy’s personality is really quite timid, although once she trusts you she will have no qualms about approaching you to show her devotion and she’ll reward you by gazing up at you with adoration in her eyes. \ She is the kind of little dog who, if allowed, will follow you everywhere and with her beautiful, gentle nature, there is no reason not to.
When she first arrived in foster care in late October, Roxy was terribly anxious and cowered whenever anyone came near her or made a loud noise. Since then there has been amazing progress and while she is still a little timid with strangers and will cower if hands are in the air near her, she has blossomed incredibly into a sweet little dog who is enjoying playing and being loved.
Being only 18 months old it is no surprise that Roxy loves to play! She makes an excellent play companion to other dogs, especially ones similar in size and age. Fetching the ball is one of her favourite activities, as is swimming and tug-of-war. She loves toys, whether they are squeaky toys or smart toys that she has to figure out such as treat balls. As she is young, Roxy needs stimulation (such as another dog to play with) to avoid getting bored and up to mischief. \ She really loves her ‘walkies’ and she has a lot of stamina, so she’ll trot along happily beside you for as far as you want to go. Her absolute favourite thing though is pats either pats on the head, pats on her back or pats on her tummy…she’s not fussy so long as she’s being loved!
While Roxy hadn’t had much training she is eager to learn hand signals and vocal cues. Since coming into care she has learned to ‘sit’, that storms are not scary and has become 99% toilet trained. She is a good eater and travels well in the car. \ Having a lovely soft coat that moults, she does require brushing, which she enjoys very much – bathtime, however, is something that she does not enjoy at all!
Roxy is enjoying an inside/outside lifestyle which we would want continued in her forever home. She does have her own bed and is happy sleeping in it as long as she is in the same room as you. And if it was to be a home with children then older ones would be best for this little petal as young, boisterous ones would probably frighten her. A home with a doggie playmate and where her humans aren’t away at work for long hours every day would be perfect! \

Adoption details
Please Note: SARG and our animals for adoption are located in Mildura in North-West Victoria.
Our adoption process commences with completing an Application form which you'll find at: www.sarg.net.au
The Application is then reviewed, references checked and a yard check done, then, if there are no issues, a meet and greet is organised. If all goes well the last stage is a 28 day home-trial to make sure that everyone is happy.
If the trial is successful our “stray” is then officially considered adopted and the microchip transferred into the new owners name.
If anything goes wrong SARG will always take back one of our animals :)
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
