About Wombat
Hi my name is Wombat and I’m abut 9 yrs. old. I sadly ended up in a pound where no one claimed me so SRV don’t know much about me but they can tell I’ve been badly abused.
I feel strange when someone is loving towards me, I really like it but I’m a little cautious because I think I might get hurt again.
I don’t think it will take me long to learn what love is all about and I’m sure if someone gives me the chance I will show them how I can give unconditional love back.
I’ve lost part of my tail but it still wags when I’m happy. Linda & Jan don’t know how I lost my tail & I can’t tell them but they are suspicious & hope it wasn’t cut off by an owner!
I have a friendly disposition and I’m a quiet laid back dog.
I would suit a middle age person/couple who are after a laid back dog without too much need for extensive
physical exercise.
I had better not go where there are young children because SRV don't know if I've ever lived with them before but would be suited to older responsible teenage children.
I would most probably be fine with a female dog but would need a meet and greet to check suitability
Adoption details
If you think you can offer me a forever home please go to
http://www.staffordrescuevictoria.org.au/index.php/adoption-forms-6
and fill out the Adoption Request Form. You will receive an email acknowledgement within 3 days. If you do not receive any further contact after this please do not be discouraged. It just means that a suitable application was received before yours. We encourage you to contact Jan: jan.hutton@optusnet.com.au every 2-3 weeks to show you are still interested in adopting. As we will already have your form on file it will fast track the process when a suitable dog does become available.
Adopt one of our dogs and we are there for you for the rest of the dog's life. If you find you and the dog are not suited it is a condition of sale that the dog comes back to Stafford Rescue.
