Miles

*miles is trialling his new home*miles is a very special boy who will find his peculiar little way into your heart. He is a real little character - in some ways more like a cat than a dog. He is quite independent and will love you on his own terms, but even though he doesn't like being picked up and smothered, he will come up to you for a pat or roll onto his back asking for a tummy-scratch, or will trot up to you from playing with a toy or having a nap and give you a little lick to let you know he's been thinking about you. He's happy just to sit next to you when you're doing something, or to sit in the sun and chew twigs. More than anything he loves to play games with you - chasey, hide and seek, fetch - he loves it all!

Although he has lots of energy, he is very easy-going and well-behaved, and is not a high-maintenance pet. He will need a good walk every day, but is very obedient and happy to entertain himself while at home. Good on the lead; learns quickly; doesn't bark much at all; good with kids; doesn't seem particularly interested in cats. He is quite people-focused, and would be ok as an only dog, and great with a family or someone who's going to be around most of the time. He's sensitive to cold, so needs to be mainly an inside dog, especially in winter, and has an allergy to certain grasses. There is something very special about miles - he has a lovely gentle, sweet personality and he makes the cutest sound ever when he yawns! whoever adopts him will be very lucky indeed.
