About Tiffany (D2714)
Small – Medium Mixed Breed
Tiffany is a sweet gentle pup who loves other dogs, children and cuddles. She loves going to the beach and the park. Like all pups, she has lots of energy and still becomes excitable. She has a beautiful nature but is a very sensitive, overly submissive little dog. Tiffany is afraid of men. She stays close by when off the lead as she’s worried she might be left behind. The most challenging manifestion of her timidity though, is that she has not mastered toilet training yet. Vets have diagnosed her with a behavioural problem called “submissive urination”. This means that whenever she gets excited or fearful, she will urinate, or sometimes even poo. It’s a natural behaviour for puppies that they usually grow out of. Her busy family has decided to surrender her because they have not been able to resolve the problem. They are hoping that Tiffany will respond positively in a quieter home. She will need clear, calm pack leadership. Scolding and punishment will not help her. Tiffany can be trial adopted and SAFE will provide the support of our very experienced behaviourist to help work through this problem.
Like all SAFE animals Tiffany has been vet checked, desexed, microchipped and vaccinated. The vets have advised it’s unlikely that she will grow much larger. She weighs about 10kg and is slightly bigger than a Jack Russell.
Tiffany is located in Perth. If you’d like to enquire about her, contact SAFE Karratha on 08 9185 4634.
