About George (On Trial 23/12/14) ~ Staffy x puppy
George is a loveable 6 month-old, male, Staffy cross puppy. He wins over everyone he meets with his affectionate nature, cheeky grin, and looks-like-a-baby-tiger stripes!
In the few short weeks he has been staying with us, George has charmed our whole house, by being:
• A fast learner - he has become toilet trained; learned to sit, stay (in an excited, wriggly kind of way!), and walk to heel; and even sits and waits for his dinner
• A great playmate – he’s an expert player of fetch. He loves playing with our big dog, and has even won over our older, crankier little dog through a shared interest in squeaky toys
• Super affectionate – he loves spending time curled up near us when we’re relaxing. He’ll happily trot around with us as we do chores around the house, and he gives the best welcome home you’ve ever seen!
‘Curious’ George loves trying new things (drinking bath water, eating zucchini), often with cute-but-hilarious result. He’d be an excellent puppy school student, as he loves learning new tricks and is so eager to please. He loves going for walks, and we also think he’s going to be a great dog to take for a run as he gets older.
George would love a home where he has lots of company (dog or human!) – he’d be a fantastic second (or third) dog, as he loves having playmates, and he’s also wonderful with kids. He needs to be allowed inside when people are home.
If you can provide George with a great home please contact his foster carers, Sanchia & Nathan, by email (emailsanch@gmail.com) or mobile (0437 611 237).
George is located in Newcastle NSW. His adoption fee of $400 includes desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
