About Floss
Hi, my name is Floss and I found myself at the pound where my world crashed around me.
I'm now at SRV which is really nice but would love a forever home.
I was re-homed for a week but was left alone to soon and I didn't settle in so panicked and got into the next door neighbours and then up the street.
I love being with people and am a friendly "sugar frosted" soul who is deaf.
I love to run & play with other dogs but push them to play with me so they would need to be tolerant of my exuberance, in saying that I would love to be adopted by someone that has another dog male or female as long as they are friendly, reason being is because I need a dog to be my ears.
I also need someone around a lot because I'm deaf I get a little insecure, this would no doubt wear off when I've been allowed to settle into a new home before left alone.
I was checked over by Trish Harris from Four Paws K9 Training who said I am a sweet elderly dog with a semi neutral disposition perhaps due to my age.
I was tolerant to soft touching and examination and showed no aggression to food and no interest in the tug toy.
I would suit a mature family with no young children or boisterous younger dogs who have some spare room on their couch for an elderly lady who asks for nothing but a warm bed, nice food and your company.
Adoption details
If you think you can offer me a forever home please go to
http://www.staffordrescuevictoria.org.au/index.php/adoption-forms-6
and fill out the Adoption Request Form. You will receive an email acknowledgement within 3 days. If you do not receive any further contact after this please do not be discouraged. It just means that a suitable application was received before yours. We encourage you to contact Jan: jan.hutton@optusnet.com.au every 2-3 weeks to show you are still interested in adopting. As we will already have your form on file it will fast track the process when a suitable dog does become available.
Adopt one of our dogs and we are there for you for the rest of the dog's life. If you find you and the dog are not suited it is a condition of sale that the dog comes back to Stafford Rescue.
