About Duchess (On Trial)
Duchess is kindly sponsored by Kendal and is currently in foster care.
Duchess is a black lady grey who might look a little battered with part of her tail missing but she has nothing missing in her soul! With a royal name you would think Duchess would be dignified and aloof – she is quite the opposite! This fine lady is the sporty type, she loves to run and play games, and to goof around. A bit of a hoarder, Duchess can be found with numerous squeaky toys in her bed, we are sure she counts them and if one has gone missing we no doubt will hear about it. She is quite vibrant and energetic and would suit a home without very young kiddies. With a firm hand to put her energy to good use she will make a wonderful companion. Duchess is a delightful girl and deserves to spend her life being treated as royally as her name.
See what her foster carers have to say:
A week ago today we took home duchess to foster. I don't think I've ever met a dog that is as chilled out and placid as duchess. last night we put little socks with grip on her as she has had some issues slipping around on the floorboards and also because animals with socks on are adorable. She happily plodded about in them wagging her tail and bounding back to us for some pats and kisses.
If you are looking for a fun lady to stride by your side, and you think you can supply her with a lifetime of toys please contact us! info@greyhoundrescue.com.au

Adoption details
Once we have found your new greyhound we will send you an application form to complete and return. Then we will arrange a house check. It is important that the right hound goes to the right home! We can arrange for you to meet the dog/s and they can meet your family and/or other pets. Our hounds go “on trial” with your family for a minimum of 2 weeks. We have dogs that are small dog and cat friendly.
We expect greyhounds to be 'indoor dogs' and not left alone for long periods of time. Ideally they would have a doggy or human friend for company most of the time.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
