About Vuzzy (Cat Friendly)
Say hello to Vuzzy, a very handsome blue and white older gentleman who has come to us here at GR. Vuzzy is extra special due to his age and is classed as a sanctuary dog. This means that GR covers his vet expenses for the rest of his life. Don’t pass him over just because he is an older dog, they not only have just as much (and often more!) love to give than puppies, but have a wonderful calm and wisdom about them which they often impart to the young whipper snappers.
He has just arrived to Canberra and his foster mum Jane says: “Mr Vuzzy is a newcomer on the scene. Having just graduated from the School of Hard Knocks as a mature age student, he’s looking forward to putting the many skills he has learnt over the years into good use. “Really” he said “I’m not looking for a tough gig. I believe my agent may have something lined up for me already. What I’d really like is something involving a few couches on the set – those director’s chairs are, I’m afraid, just not quite big enough for me.” Mr Vuzzy had to leave for his make-up call, and Gossip Hound certainly hopes that someone out there will see the benefits of engaging an older soul to keep them company. ”
Recently test with cats and all indications are that he will be suitable to live with cats. Introductions must be done under supervision.
Adoption details
Once we have found your new greyhound we will send you an application form to complete and return. Then we will arrange a house check. It is important that the right hound goes to the right home! We can arrange for you to meet the dog/s and they can meet your family and/or other pets. Our hounds go “on trial” with your family for a minimum of 2 weeks. We have dogs that are small dog and cat friendly.
We expect greyhounds to be 'indoor dogs' and not left alone for long periods of time. Ideally they would have a doggy or human friend for company most of the time.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
