About Areeba (On trial 2/12/14)
If you want a dog that ticks all the boxes….meet Areeba! She is a 15 month old Ridgeback x Mastiff who is dog friendly; kid friendly; and human friendly! \ She hasn’t been tested with cats but I would be very surprised if she didn’t get along with them also!
Areeba knows basic commands – sit, stay, wait; and is toilet trained. She is such a gentle girl, she sits and waits to be told she can eat her evening meal and takes treats so gently from your hand. \ Walking her on a lead is a piece of cake, she is happy to walk right beside you and walk at your pace. When off lead she returns quickly to you when called. She loves the beach and loves playing fetch.
Areeba is currently living with my 14mth old male dog and together they spend 5 days a week outside playing happily while I am at work. However, they are allowed inside once I am home as it is important to bond and feel part of the family, they also currently sleep inside too. On a recent hot day, they had to be left and so spent the day inside the house with the air-conditioner on and there was no mess or anything misplaced or destroyed! Such good puppies!
Areeba is such a delightfully sweet girl who just loves to cuddle and please you. If you think you could provide a loving home where Areeba can be included as part of your family please complete an adoption questionnaire and forward to Bec at becsnewemail@yahoo.com.au or SMS 0416095409 to express your interest and I will forward you the questionnaire.
Areeba is not available for interstate adoption.
Areeba’s $300 adoption fee includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
