About Merlin on hold pending adoption
Meet our boy Merlin a five year old male German Shepherd who is social with his fellow rescue dogs and loves people attention.
Merlin has come into care after the number of storms in the Sydney area he was found wandering the streets and taken into care at a Sydney Animal Shelter. Merlin loves people and is affectionate and responsive. Still an active dog Merlin will need daily exercise, stimulation and further lead work.
This loveable boy is currently in care at Box Hill, NSW and is a sable German Shepherd and weighs in at about 28 kilos. We would like to put some more weight on Merlin and will continue with his obedience and lead training.
Merlin would be a wonderful companion dog for an active couple or for a family. He will need a secure yard however, as we are unsure how he ended up on the streets so good fencing is a must.

Medical notes
Merlin has been desexed, vaccinated C5, heart worm tested Negative and microchipped. We have had him professionally groomed and hydrobathed and he has been wormed, flea treated and is on heart worm prevention.
Adoption details
We have an Adoption Manager who screens all prospective candidates as to their suitability to adopt a German Shepherd Dog.
The successful candidate who adopts one of our dogs is provided with an information kit, ongoing support, training and advice on all aspects of feeding, training and general assistance to ensure both the new owner and our rescued dog settle into their home.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
