Bomber

Bomber is a 12 year old Silky Terrier - but don’t tell him, he thinks he’s a lot younger!
Bomber is a very loving, sweet boy, who wouldn’t hurt a fly! He loves being close to his family, but is also equally happy spending time lying outside on the grass chilling. Bomber loves having indoor and outdoor access, but needs to find a home where he is allowed to sleep indoors - which he likes to do close to his humans. He’s even been invited up on the bed on occasions, and adores that, although also sleeps really well on his mat.
Bomber absolutely loves going for daily walks, and will run in circles grinning with excitement whenever you let him know he’s about to be taken for one! As he loves them so much, he needs to find a home where his new owners are happy to commit the time to take him out for short walks daily. He also travels well in the car, enjoys the beach, and is good with older children and other dogs.
Although he’s in very good condition for his age, Bomber does have an arthritic left knee. Despite this, his knee doesn’t stop him at all from running around playing with other dogs, jumping up onto the couch when invited up, or going for his beloved walks. He’ll just need access to warm, comfy bedding, be allowed to sleep indoors at night, and may possibly benefit from appropriate canine glucosamine / omega 3 supplements.
As Bomber is a Silky Terrier, he will need an owner that is committed to brushing him daily, and having him groomed every 4 weeks or so.
Bomber would be best suited to a home where his owners are around regularly - as he really does love human companionship. He would be suitable as an only dog, but has also been really friendly with all of our friends’ dogs too. He would not be suited to a home with toddlers or young children given his knee arthritis, and need to not be played roughly with. That said, he enjoys the company of older children, and loves all the cuddles coming his way! Bomber is absolutely gorgeous - inside and out - so deserves a home where he will be loved, included as a member of his new family, and be spoilt for his remaining years.
