About Tod (On Trial 25/1/15)~ gentle with children ~
Hi! I’m Tod. My foster mum thinks I’m the sweetest, smartest, bestest 1 year old dog ever! She loves my flopsy ears that make everyone laugh! I am fabulous with children! I walk so nicely on lead even a child can walk me! Watch my video of me walking nicely on lead with a 4 year old. I love to play with other dogs and be silly and have lots of fun. I like to steal all of the toys and balls. I am a Bull Arab cross and big, beautiful boy.
My foster mum named me Tod, but I think she should have called me Gilligan, cause I am her "little buddy". We love our cuddles and watching TV together. Sometimes my tail wags so fast I hit her legs but I can’t help it! I am just so happy, especially when we go to the park.
I have good basic training will sit, drop, sit for my dinner and fetch when asked. I am always the first dog to come when my name is called. I am housetrained and I let my foster mum know when I need to go outside.
I have a short coat which is lovely and soft and stays pretty clean, but I am happy to have a bath. I reckon any human attention is good. I even have a groomer, Fiona. Fiona says she will give me a character reference because I am so well behaved when I have a bath and when getting my ears cleaned and nails cut!
Car trips are OK with me too. I sit still and enjoy the ride. There are no cats living here but I don’t bother with cats when I see them on my walks.
You could make me happy by spending lots of time with me, cuddling me and taking me for walks. I would also get along with any other doggies you may have.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
