About Duchess
Duchess has such a beautiful and loving personality and you couldn't tell that she has had a horrible past life before she came to SHARI.
About a month ago Duchess was living in horrible conditions with her 3 brothers. Someone had caught all of them in a trap and took them straight to the pound. No other rescue groups came forward to help her siblings or herself and was saved by another rescue group until she came to us.
Duchess is trying her hardest to walk on lead but is still a little scared. She walks better on a harness and will need a very patient owner. Duchess and her brother Duke were picked up in Bundaberg yesterday and despite being absolutely terrified she absolutely loved the 5 hour car trip home.
Duchess is social with other dogs and is not reactive to other dogs either.
Duchess is fine behind property fencing and has no desire to escape. You will actually often find her sleeping under a tree like a kangaroo!
Duchess would love to go to her forever home with her brother Duke but if you wanted to just adopt Duchess, that is ok as long as he has another dog to keep her company!

Completing this application form does not place you under any obligation to adopt.
Safe Haven Animal Rescue Inc have a 10 day trial/settling period, if for any reason the pet needs to be returned, we will happily take them back into our care once a foster home is found and the adoption fee minus $50 (admin fee) will be returned via bank transfer within 5 working days. If the pet is returned after the trial period there will be no refund made.
**Please note that all paperwork including the Microchip Change of owner form will be handed over after the 10 day trial period.**
