About Cooper
Who would think that this loving little dog is the same one rescued from Hawkesbury Pound 3 weeks ago! When Cooper's foster carer picked him up he was an extremely timid, scared and skinny little dog who was afraid of the slightest noise and would not come near anybody, not even Bonny the gentle dog belonging to his carer. What a difference a few weeks have made as Cooper is now Bonny's shadow and they spend every moment together, even sharing the same bed where he sleeps all night long without a peep. Cooper has gained confidence and become a very loving and affectionate dog who enjoys following his humans around the house waiting for pats and treats. Cooper is still timid and afraid of loud noises at times but is improving in confidence every day. He is not walking outside on a lead just yet but with kind hands and positive reinforcement we don't expect it will be to long before he enjoys going for a walk. Cooper has a beautiful nature and will be someone's very devoted and loyal companion, everyday he blossoms into a more beautiful and loving little dog. Cooper has shown no sign of aggression at all towards adults, children or other dogs and only barks when someone comes to the front door. Cooper would love a home with another small, gentle and playful dog to cuddle up and sleep with when his owners are away from home. Cooper is a house dog and we would like him to have indoor access via a doggy door or similar in his new home. He has a coat that will require some grooming and clipping to keep him tidy.
