Minnie (On Trial)

Minnie is a new arrival who has made it to foster with Claire, James and their daughter Chloe. Claire says,

‘Minnie is a sweet, affectionate & waggy tailed smaller girl who wants nothing more than ear rubs, cuddles and kisses from humans. She is very chilled out & easy going and would fit into a wide range of family situations.

Minnie seems really happy with the company of adults & children alike. We have a 3 year old daughter & Minnie is gentle & calm around her.

Minnie is house-trained & sleeps quietly through the night on her own bed in the lounge.

After only a few days in foster she was perfectly fine being left on her own in the house for 2 hours 20 mins. We will continue building this up while she is in our care.

Minnie already has good manners – she lays quietly on her bed when we prepare & eat food, she waits to go through doors after us & she doesn’t guard her food.

Minnie loves her regular walks but is equally happy lazing about the house. She is a fairly low maintenance dog.

Minnie travels well in the car & walks quite well on the lead but with ongoing training this could be improved. She already knows recall which we have been practising in our garden. Minnie doesn’t appear to know how to play, but I think this will come in time & she is already starting to show a cheeky side! Minnie also knows ‘wait’ (going through doors) and ‘leave’.

Sadly, she is not cat or bird friendly!’
