Dougal

Dougal is loving and friendly, enthusiastic (but quite well behaved on lead as he doesn't bark at other dogs) and can walk for half an hour or more. He loves other dogs but would cope as an only dog (no cats though) and needs a reasonably quiet home as he will bark for attention when visitors come (this is the Pomeranian in him). Dougal is also a good little guard dog and sounds bigger than he is. He loves to play with toys, giving them a good shake and he'll also run after a ball. One thing Dougal doesn't like is going in the car as he gets motion sickness but is not noisy. He can manage 10 mins if he's on the front seat so it depends on a new owner's lifestyle as to whether or not this will suit them. There is vet medication available should a long trip be required but as this makes dogs drowsy it is not suitable for regular use. Dougal needs a very secure yard and cannot be let off lead in unfenced locations as he is a curious boy and loves to go on an adventure. Dougal is housetrained and has a fairly easy care coat so the occasional brush and groom a couple of times a year to keep him cool is all that is needed.
