About Jackson
Jackson is a very handsome, extremely good-natured, well-grounded, and energetic little boy that is always a bundle of happiness. His wonderful personality was the first thing that Jackson's carer noticed about him. He loves to play and his favourite game is 'fetch and drop' however, sometimes he has to be reminded about the 'drop' part! Jackson also has some squeaky toys that keep him occupied. He is very well behaved with his foster carer's visitors (including young grandchildren) although he does encourage everyone to play with him or, at the very least, pat him. Jackson currently spends several hours per day with a male and a female dog and despite his youth is constantly vying for alpha status, particularly when his carer is outside with him and the other dogs. Jackson spends a great deal of time indoors with his carer enjoying quiet times napping in his bed. On hot days he can be found sprawled on the floor in front of the air conditioner. Jackson loves water and paddles in a clam shell pool whether it is warm weather or not. Jackson is a healthy boy with a hearty appetite and never barks unnecessarily. In fact, he only barks when he can see passers-by through the security door. Jackson is house trained but will need access to outdoors via a doggy door to avoid accidents. Jackson will do well in a home with children or with adoptive parents who have time to play with him. He would prefer to be an only dog in his new home as long as he has lots of people time. His coat is quite straight so is easier to maintain however it will grow longer and require regular grooming. A good brushing once or twice each week between grooms is also essential.
