About Stella
Other dogs
Stella is ok with dogs she knows but needs time to warm up to strange dogs. You will need to monitor her around other dogs and keep her on a lead. She displays dominance to all other animals.

Stella is living with a 6 and a 4 year old and she is great with both of them. She has never shown any aggression to people and the children even help feed her too.

Moderate. She is playful and energetic.
How is your dog on a lead?
Ok unless she sees something exciting and then is hard to manage.
Escape artist
She is not an escape artist as such but if a gate is left open she will go off exploring. She may jump a low fence.
Toilet trained

Tolerance to being alone
Yes as long as she gets plenty of attention when you are home and is given things to play with while you are at work.
Likes
She loves cuddles, pats and walks. Stella also loves to run, treats and attention.
Dislikes
She does not like unfamiliar dogs or animals.
Ideal home
Stella will cope if you work full time as long as you give her plenty of attention before and after work. She likes to run around a back yard and also appreciates having some space. She needs to be the only animal in the household. She is great with kids especially 6+.
Generally
Stella loves to please and is extremely affectionate. She does have poor doggy social skills and can be very rude and dominant to other dogs and animals. She is a snapping dog when it comes to other dogs but has never snapped at a person or kids. She has a happy demeanour and is always pleased to see her human friends.

This is for the benefit of both the dog and the potential new owner/s. It also saves time and uses limited resources more effectively.
Once the essential criteria is confirmed we put you in touch with the carer for a more detailed chat with a view of meeting the dog/s.
If you decide to proceed with the adoption we make a time for a house check.
The adoption fee is then paid (there is a 2 week cooling off period.) Please note we do not usually allow trials.
Foster carers are also able to adopt foster dogs once approved.
