About Tealeaf - Special Needs
Tealeaf is such an amazing boy. He came to us as a stray from a country pound with horrific skin cancer damage to his ears, which have since been removed, along with a small wedge from his nose.
When he arrived, he was completely shutdown, all he did was eat and sleep and took no interest in interacting with anyone, but fast forward 3 weeks after his surgery and he is now a smoochy, loving, playful boy who would sit on your lap and snuggle into you all day, if he could!
When we took Tealeaf from the pound, I thought there was a fair chance he would never really recover from his time on the streets and would probably spend the rest of his life with me, but I couldn't have been more wrong! Tealeaf has grabbed hold of his second chance with all paws and is ready for a home and family of his own, and to live his true life, finally!
Tealeaf is still learning to communicate his wants and will occasionally give you a love bite to attract or refocus your attention! He still startles quite easily, but recovers well and will only become more relaxed and confident in time.
Tealeaf is fantastic with other calm, friendly cats and would be fine with existing cats or on his own. He is quite timid of dogs though, so he would need to be able to avoid any dogs in the home if needed.
Tealeaf is one of the most resilient and forgiving cats I've even met and he is so completely deserving of the most wonderful home, where he will want for nothing for the rest of his days!
Tealeaf is in care in Croydon North.
Medical notes
Tealeaf goes to his new home desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated and having recently had a dental.
Tealeaf has had his ears and a small wedge of his nose removed due to cancer. This has healed very well. There is no way of knowing how long Tealeaf will live, or how fast the cancer will return, if it does at all. All we know is that right now, Tealeaf is a happy, healthy boy who deserves a wonderful home for the rest of his days.
