About Wocky - Special Needs
It's my great pleasure to introduce you all to darling little Wocky! Wocky is an 8ish month old Ragdoll cross, who has been with us since early July. Wocks was trapped in a stray colony and hadn't been handled until he arrived in care. He's made fantastic progress with his foster mum and she now thinks he's ready to start his search for his forever home!
Wocky was trapped in the same area as our long term/special needs girl JubJub, and I'm about 99% sure Wock and Jub have the same dad. Wocky unfortunately also shares JubJub's immune system issues, and like her, he sneezes a fair bit and is more often than not, just a little bit snotty. As far as we can tell, this is not contagious, none of the other cats in Wocky's foster home have been sick, nor any who are with Jubby, so we don't believe this will transfer to cats in his new home.
We have given Wocky a variety of medications, but nothing has worked and our vet is quite confident he will grow out of it, in time.
Wocky is looking for a quiet, adult, indoor only home with at least one other friendly, playful cat. He loves to play with toys and with his foster kitty brother and is very cheeky and entertaining to watch!
His new home will need to be patient with him while he settles in, and give him the time and space to become comfortable.
Wocky is a darling boy who just needs a quiet home in which to blossom. Though he may never be a lap cat, he desperately wants to be affectionate and will make a wonderful companion for someone that is happy for him to be himself, and a fantastic playmate for an existing, friendly cat!
Wocky is in care in Nunawading.
Medical notes
Wocky goes to his new home desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and flea and worm treated.
Wocky has an ongoing issue with his sinuses, see above for details.
