Marky Marc

Meet Marky Mark a 2 year and 9 month old brindle Staffy x Jack Russel. This young man has been an excellent house guest, who is house and toilet trained. He knows his basic commands, such as sit, shake, stay and no. He appears to respond very well to training with treats and loves his food. He also has reasonably good recall.

He appears to get along well with most dogs and has been playing very well with my 2 year old female Staffy. He has not shown any signs of aggression towards her or other dogs at doggy day care. He is cat friendly, happy to play with them or leave them alone. He LOVES his cuddles and is happy to chill out with you wherever you are. He is very people orientated.

He enjoys his daily walks and walks well on lead, but does pull occasionally. Further training or a harness, may help correct this. He is very excited to see you when you come home and does jump to greet you, but does settle after his initial greeting. Further training should help correct this behaviour. He travels very well in the car and does not appear to react to external noises such as trucks, horns, cars etc. He does not appear to be a digger or barker.

I am unsure how he behaves with children. He is a gentle dog and has not reacted negatively towards them when walking past them on the street. He currently sleeps in the laundry with his foster sister and has access to a dog door. He has been a bit of a sook when I put him to bed, but settles after a few minutes.

He does have a skin allergy on his stomach from some wandering dew, but has cream that helps alleviate his itchiness and it is clearing up.

Marky Marc would suit most families, couples or individuals and would prefer someone to be home most of the time if he is the only dog. He is happy to be left alone for a few hours or most of the day if in the company of another dog. If you are looking for a beautiful natured dog that will provide you with unconditional love, then Marky Marc is the dog for you.
