About Layla
Layla is a big, beautiful girl with a bit more growing still to do!
She loves her family to bits, and all the time she can spend with them is barely enough - however when her humans aren't around, she is terrific at settling down and calmly enjoying her own company.
Layla's perfect day would include having a delicious hearty breakfast, then heading off to the dog park when there are lots of dogs to play with, balls to be chased and running to be done!
Layla takes a while to become comfortable and relaxed around new people in unfamiliar surroundings. Dog savvy people are a must for this beautiful girl.
MY IDEAL HOME: I'm a little bit shy, but also quite strong willed - my perfect home would include owners who have experience with dogs that like boundaries. Routine and stability are very good for me.
I enjoy sleeping in a sheltered space, and although I have my own jackets, I tend to feel the cold so please keep an ear out for my chattering teeth!
I need lots of mental stimulation to keep me content, so plenty of human company, puzzle toys and fetching games are a must.
MY ENERGY LEVEL: I'm active for a non-working breed dog, so I need routine exercise - at least one walk or (even better!) a romp around the park every day.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I'm just not sure about those critters - they make me very nervous. My ideal home would be one without children.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: I've spent my whole life with a French bulldog, who is my very best friend. We tend to squabble a bit over toys and food sometimes, though. :( If I live with a dog in my furever home, my new person will need to be experienced in handling potential issues in these areas.
I currently live with a cat as well, but we haven't spent a lot of time together.

Adoption details
We ask all people looking to adopt to fill an enquiry form.
You can receive this by emailing NSWadoptions@maggiesrescue.org or visiting our webpage www.maggiesrescue.org
We will then organise a time for you to meet with the foster carer and the pet you are interested in adopting.
Maggie's wants this to be a good experience for you, and we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog as your situation may not meet the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of this period we will transfer the microchip to your details and the adoption is complete.
Your pet is a Maggie's Pet for Life, please consider this before adopting.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
