About Luciano and Lititia (adopted 12/2014)Adorable Pair
Darling Little Pair: Luciano is a male, Chihuahua x Chinese Crested Hairless. Letitia is a female, Chihuahua x Pomeranian. They are both 9 years old and have been together since they were puppies and would not cope being separated from each other.
Luciano and Letitia would love nothing more than to follow you around and sit on your lap or be carried around. They are just adorable. They are inside dogs and need full access indoors. They're housetrained. They have always lived with other dogs so they are good with them.
Letitia has a lovely, soft, medium length coat which needs regular brushing and bathing. Luciano, being part Chinese Crested, has no fur on his back so he needs some special care. He needs moisturizer and sunscreen applied daily and care taken that he wears a t-shirt if he is going to be out in the sun.
Luciano and Letitia found themselves homeless after their elderly owner died. Small dogs like them typically live to around 15 or 16 so Luciano and Letitia still have lots of time left to enjoy their new families.
The Chihuahua is a breed which is not recommended for families with young children but is ideally suited to older people, possibly those whose families have ‘left the nest’. Chi's can be spirited, clever and protective. They tend to become very attached to their owners and reserved around strangers, and especially around children if they're not used to them. Chihuahuas really need to live indoors and their diminutive size means their space and exercise needs are accommodated inside the home. However, they are active little dogs that enjoy a walk.
For more information or to meet Luciano and Letitia, please ring or SMS 0413310791. They are in foster care in Newcastle, NSW.
Luciano and Letitia's adoption fee is only $200 for the pair and includes their desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
