About Daisy (On trial 15/11/14) ~ Shih Tzu x Maltese
Daisy is a delightful, 12month old, Shih Tzu x Maltese who loves nothing more than following you around during the day and cuddling on the lounge of a night while you are watching TV. Before coming into foster care she was an outside dog, but has adapted extremely well inside and needs to have access to both. \ She is toilet trained and has the use of inside and outside day and night.
Daisy loves her soft fluffy toys and a tug of war with my own two dogs. \ Daisy has a beautiful gentle nature, loves other dogs and is not fazed by sharing her food and will patiently wait until the others finish and continue eating. They will all drink out of their water bowl together and share treats. \
Daisy would love to sleep on your bed if you let her, but is content to curl up on her bed in my bedroom. She walks well on a harness and lead and doesn’t worry about other dogs while out.
Daisy has a low shedding coat which needs regular brushing (every few days depending on length), bathing (every few weeks) and clipping (every 4 to 8 weeks) to keep her comfortable and beautiful.
Daisy would be a wonderful companion for someone that wants a affectionate little shadow that follows you everywhere.
For more information or to meet Daisy, please contact her foster carer Louise on 02 49691441 or 0418617671 or email j.mctaggart37@optusnet.com.au. Daisy is in foster care in Newcastle, NSW and is available for adoption interstate.
Daisy's adoption fee is only $500 and includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
