About Cola ~ On Trial 30/11/14
Do you need extra fizz in your life?? If so, you need Cola! Cola is a small English staffy x dachshund mix who has the cutest qualities of two wonderful breeds. Cola loves to wear his big staffy smile all the time - this little guy is a one of a kind who will have you curled up for hugs and kisses in no time! \ He has a beautiful soft brindle coat and the cutest short legs – when he sits for a treat you can’t help but say “ahhh” at his cuteness overload!
Cola is a mature minded 12month old, he's done all his growing into this 110% package of cuteness. He's very affectionate and will happily be by your side or quietly snooze around the house. Cola is predominantly an inside dog - he does feel the cold and would need a nice warm coat and kennel if outside in the cooler months.
Cola is a quiet soul, only getting the woofs when meeting new doggy friends. Cola seems to think he's all staffy (with a smile like his, you'd almost believe him) but he’s more the size of a dachshund. Cola has no food aggression with other dogs and will settle in and become closely bonded with new doggy friends within a few days. Cola loves to play tug'o'war with his furry friend or play chasings around the yard. Due to Cola’s social nature he is best suited to a home with another doggy playmate to keep him company when his family are out.
Cola is house trained, knows basic commands but would need some ongoing training with his forever family to help with his transition into his forever home. Cola walks very well on the lead and once he knows you he will follow you anywhere. He has good doggy manners and is great with people of all ages. If you are looking to adopt a forever friend with a whole lot of love to share then Cola is the little guy for you!

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
