About Leelu ~ Rehomed 19/11/2014
Leelu is a gorgeous 8 week old, female Cattle dog x Border Collie puppy. Leelu has a great time trying to carry toys around the house, even the ones that are almost as big as her. Leelu adores humans of all sizes – she loves children and will happily play all day. Leelu is a typical puppy – she has a soft spot for shoes (don’t all girls?) and she loves to nibble your toes. Leelu loves to snuggle and after a hard day of play she will curl up on your lap for a long doze.
Leelu is in foster care with 4 dogs and 2 cats and she gets on well with everyone. She is very clever and treat focused so will respond well to consistent training as she grows – she is learning to sit and stay already. \ Leelu is only new to toilet training so her new family will need to continue her toilet training as she grows.
Leelu is well socialized with other dogs and would best suit a furever home with another doggy friend to play with or someone who is home a lot. Leelu is very social and too young to be left alone for long periods of time. We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training.
Leelu is an inside dog and needs to be allowed inside when her family is home – she must sleep inside at night even when older. Dogs and puppies enjoy being part of the family and get comfort from being inside with their humans.
For more information or to meet Leelu, please contact Karen on 0411 263 304 or email plumb2a@bigpond.com. Leelu is in foster care near Gosford, NSW (Central Coast) and is not available for adoption interstate. Leelu will be ready to go to her new home when she turns 10 weeks old (18th November).
Leelu's adoption fee is $450 and includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, and microchipping. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
