About Chiko -(On Trial 20/4/15)
Chiko is a very happy energetic 1 year old foxie. He loves to play. Whether it's with his other foster buddies or fetch with his squeaky rubber ball, he's not fussed as long as he's having fun. Chiko enjoys being outside where he can sniff around and bark at the birds. He'll come inside for a sleep and goes back out to do it all again.
He is not an aggressive dog. He has a lovely personality. He would make a great family dog or just someone's companion. He loves you to throw a ball for him and he enjoys the interaction. He is affectionate and enjoys his tummy tickled. Even though he enjoys the great outdoors he is an indoor dog and does sleep indoors.
Chiko would best be suited to a home without birds or small pets:)
If you think Chiko would be a welcome addition to your family and you will be able to provide him with a loving and secure home for the rest of his life please contact Lucyann via email at blackorchid7@hotmail.com.au. Chiko is in Lake Macquarie, NSW.
Chiko's adoption fee is only $400 and includes his desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au
Medical notes
He needed surgery on both knees, due to having dislocating kneecaps(luxating patellas). Both hind legs have healed nicely and Chiko is ready for his new home.
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
