About Delilah (adopted 1/2/15) ~ velvety black greyhound
This is delightful Delilah. She is a 5 to 6yo purebred greyhound. She loves cuddles and pats and she will put her paw on you when she wants more. She is very placid and easy going. Delilah loves being a lounge lizard. She doesn't need a large yard or a lot of exercise.
Delilah is good with our other dog who is 14 years old, and other dogs. She is good with children. She is not suitable to live with cats or other small animals.
She is definitely an indoor dog and frets when left outside. She is housetrained. She needs to sleep indoors. She currently sleeps on the lounge with her favourite teddy bear.
She \ will come when called but shouldn't be let off lead unless she has further training. She is low energy and undemanding, all she needs is a simple daily walk.
She is very good in the car.
She is not bothered by thunderstorms.
She has a velvety soft coat which is low maintenance, just needing a bath every few weeks and brushing as needed.
She received a bravery reward from Greencross Vets for her outstanding behaviour at the vets.
Delilah is gentle, affectionate and relaxed. A perfect family dog!
For more information or to meet Delilah, please contact her foster carer Fiona on 0423 886 238 or email crotty_smith@hotmail.com. Delilah is in foster care in Newcastle, NSW and is available for adoption interstate.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
