About Skittles - The Bright spark!
Skittles is ready for adoption!
Skittles is a sweet, loving young girl who aims to please and loves nothing more than to sit quietly by your feet.
How does such a great dog end up in a pound? Ignorance. Skittles is deaf. Nobody knew for the first few days. We assumed she was just untrained. She watches everything and picks up signals from dogs around her.
This gorgeous Heeler cross has intuition like no other. Skittles reads body language better than most dogs making her easy to train.
Dogs rely on body language more than anything else for communication.
In a few short days Skittles has learned to sit, shake hands, drop, stay and come all without a word being said.
If you don't like the name Skittles? No problem! You can call her whatever you like and she doesn't care!
Skittles sleeps when you vacuum, won't be bothered by things that go bump in the night and will surely think New Years eve is a big snooze fest!!
Skittles has a very sweet disposition and like all of Satrting Over Dog Rescues dogs is desexed, vaccinated, wormed and deflead.
Skittles is 11 months old and already so smart!
If you are looking for a new best friend, she's the girl for you!
The only negatives with a deaf dog - She must be kept on a leash in public and is a really bad burglar alarm!!!
Skittles is in care in Moonee Ponds. If you are interested in adopting this beautiful girl please visit our website www.startingoverdogrescue.org.au and fill in an adoption form and her carer will be in contact with you
Medical notes
