About Bernie
When Bernie came into foster care she had absolutely no idea how to behave or how to walk on-lead, she was super-skinny and her tail was permanently between her legs. She quickly learned some basics such as “come”, “sit”, “drop” and “wait” and was so proud!
She quickly settled down and has really become a pleasure to have around. She rarely barks, even when playing with her foster brothers. On the odd occasion that a stranger pulls into the driveway, she does her duty of two deep barks when the other dogs start then is silent straight away, but she sounds tough! She just loves a silent dance or hard wrestle with her “brothers”! She’s also a bit of a couch potato around the house and loves to lie by the heater.
She now walks like a dream on a lead too, she wouldn't dream of pulling! She loves going in the car and sits silently looking out of the window or curls up and sleeps, and politely waits til she’s asked to get out. She also has had no “accidents” inside and always does the right thing.
She’s a very pretty, loving and smoochy girl who absolutely loves kisses and cuddles.... with continued calmness and control, she will be an awesome family dog. Bernie has been living with two other dogs and three cats and gets along famously with them all! She adores her foster sister kittens and lovingly nuzzles them and sleeps with them whenever possible. She’s a good, kind girl who would love a home where she can get plenty of affection and after recently learning how to fetch a ball will make a wonderful family pet who is easy to exercise.
Medical notes
Bernie has been desexed, vacinated and micro chipped. She is up to date with flea and worm control
