About Jellybean
Jellybean is the perfect little companion cat and can’t wait to meet you!
Appearance: She’s a petite little girl with the strong body of a natural athlete! Her pretty Calico markings enhance her expressive face and stunning amber eyes. Her short fur is very soft to touch.
We estimate that she’s around 10 months old, so she may grow a little bigger.
Personality: Jellybean has personality with a capital P! She’s very curious, smart and playful. She loves nothing more than being near her human companion and will follow you from room to room, wanting to be involved in everything you are doing. If it’s been too long between cuddles she will let you know by cuddling up to you and starting to purring loudly!
She’s very coordinated and loves to run, jump and play actively. She’s also very motivated to learn and would like to play games and learn tricks! We’re currently working on ‘high five’. She’s learning to play gently very well and will make a suitable companion for a gentle child. She has a sweet little voice and likes to say hello every now and again by making a little “chirrup” noise.
Likes: Play time, cuddle time and eating cat grass. She would love it if her new family would bring the outdoors indoors and keep cat grass in the house. Yummy! Playing with anything is fun but some of the current favourites are running water, scrunched up paper and an ear bud. She’s also a big help with making the bed, gardening, doing the dishes, and napping – see the video here for more:

Dislikes: She hates to be a clique, but vacuum cleaners are scary! When you’re vacuuming she won’t stick around to watch but as soon as it’s gone she’s ready for play again.
Looking for: an indoor only home to keep her safe and loving family with lots of time for play and tummy tickles.
Medical history: She has been vet checked, desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed, flea treated and litter trained.
Sex: Female, desexed
Litter trained: yes
Child friendly: unknown, but she has a calm and confident personality so will probably suit ages 4 and up
Pet friendly: Good with other cats, dogs unknown
Diet: dry food with a daily treat of a small amount of wet food, please!
Adoption fee: $140. Kitten Kapers Rescue is non-profit organisation. The adoption fee is not negotiable
Location: Indooroopilly
Contact: email shannonmkkr@gmail.com.
If you think you have the perfect home to offer Jellybean, please email to arrange a meeting! Please note: all prospective parents will be interviewed to determine suitability of the family and household for the cat/ kitten.
FAQs
Why should cats be indoor only pets?
Did you know that indoor cats can live up to 12-18 years old whereas outdoor cats live an average of only 2-5 years? It’s because there are many dangers that outdoor cats face:
• FeLV (Feline Leukaemia Virus) - a disease spread though fighting
• FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus similar to human AIDS) - a disease spread though fighting
• Cat fight/ possum fight abscesses
• Cars
• Dogs and other predators
• Poisons
• Humans – reselling your pet or worse
There are many very important reasons to keep your cat indoors or confined to your property with a cat enclosure or net. Make sure your new cat has a long and healthy life and keep them indoors!
Are cats good pets for kids?
Cats can be great pets for children but it is important to consider the age of the cat and the child and the personalities of both. Some cats like to be handled while others prefer to participate in family life from a distance.
