About Ocean ~ On Trial 10/12/2014
Ocean is an affectionate 12 week old, female Shar-pei x Cattle dog puppy. Ocean loves to collect all the toys and put them under her day bed outside. She loves to play and wrestle all day long with her brother and two sisters. Ocean is a gentle soul and she tries to make friends with everyone young and old. She is in foster care with an older timid dog and she has managed to befriend her and they love to fall asleep together.
Ocean loves children and is also in foster care with two cats that she is very gentle with. Ocean is a mixture of two very clever breeds – her mother was a Shar-pei and her father was a stumpy tail red cattle dog. She is very clever and treat focused so will respond well to consistent training as she grows – she is learning to sit already. Ocean is only new to toilet training so her new family will need to continue her toilet training as she grows.
Ocean is well socialized with other dogs and would best suit a furever home with another doggy friend to play with or someone who is home a lot. Ocean is best suited to a family with older kids or teenagers, or an active couple of any age. Ocean is very social and too young to be left alone for long periods of time. We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training.
Ocean is an inside dog and needs to be allowed inside when her family is home – she must sleep inside at night even when older. Dogs and puppies enjoy being part of the family and get comfort from being inside with their humans.
Ocean’s sibling Elsa is also available for adoption.
For more information or to meet Ocean, please contact Rebecca on 0423 870 797 or email becanddamo02@bigpond.com. Ocean is in foster care near Gosford, NSW (Central Coast) and is not available for adoption interstate.
Ocean's adoption fee is $450 and includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, and microchipping. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.rtf.
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
