About Ivy
Ivy is a funny, dear sweet little soul that loves cuddles. When we rescued tiny Ivy from the Pound she had pneumonia and after a vet check was found to have a number of mammary tumours which would need to be removed over two surgeries. Ivy recovered from her pneumonia and on 16 October had the first of her surgeries where most of the tumours, including the largest one, were removed. She also lost some rotten teeth as well but is such a little fighter and has been a marvellous patient. Despite her tiny size, Ivy has such spirit and hasn't let this set her back. She loves a walk, enjoying getting out to see the world and to 'meet and greet' and have a sniff and a pee. In 4 - 6 weeks she will have the second of her operations to hopefully remove the rest of the lumps then, after her recovery, it is hoped we will be able to find her a new home where she can finally get that love and care she so richly deserves. Ivy loves to sleep on the bed and is coming along with her house training very well. She is best suited to a quiet home life with someone older and where she can go for a daily walk, maybe to the shops or around the block and then sit by your side to watch the world go by. Ivy would make a great companion and gets on well with other small dogs but isn't that keen on cats (who are usually bigger than she is!) She doesn't hurt the cats but she does bark at them. Hopefully someone will take Ivy into their home and into their heart. Obviously these surgeries are costly and any donations towards her care would be gratefully appreciated.
